Hi there! Thanks
for looking at my Bio!
With acknowledgement
to the idea of letting go of ones personal history in order to integrate
our complete self, I offer you this: I was born with wonderful DNA
from the German and Dutch lineage, on May 17 1967. This moment in
time was the spring before what is commonly referred to as the "Summer
of Love" in the US. Some of that loving hope for humanity must
have influenced me during my infancy since I believe that humanity
will once again find its love for itself and all life in the near
future
After growing up near Chicago and earning a Bachelors
of Science degree in Environmental Health, I decided to join the
Peace Corps. I lived and worked with the people of Chad, Africa
for over two years. This experience increased my already strong
connection and respect for Africans and indigenous peoples everywhere
Upon
returning to the US I moved to Nome, Alaska where I worked with
and learned from the Alaskan Natives as an Environmental Health
Specialist.
Presently, I
live on a "homestead" and workshop space called Eartheart.
With help from friends I built this sacred space near beautiful
Homer, Alaska. This is my earthome where my spirit benefits from
the purity of the Alaskan wilderness and the many plants and animals
that surround me.
I work for a
non profit mental health agency where I work with children as well
as young and older adults. In addition to this I enjoy taking kids
on wilderness adventures with an independent program.
My creative
outlets include: kayaking (with the otters, whales, orcas, seal
lions, and star fish who live in the oceans around his home) Yoga,
Co Creative Science (which can be explained as forming a partnership
with the intelligence inherent in nature which allows one to create
in Balance and Harmony), Drumming, Gardening (with help from the
nature spirits, Devas), Environmental Balancing (energy clearing),
The Heartmath organization, and many outdoor activities including
climbing (ice rock), mountain climbing, biking, kayaking.
The Flower of
Life teachings are of course a great passion of mine and I would
be deeply honored to share these teachings with you for the "highest
good of all concerned". My present goal is to teach FOL wherever
they are needed. Especially areas that have not had access to the
teachings before.
Eartheart is
open and inexpensive for large and small groups to come and learn
the Flower of Life teachings in an intimate, private, and natural
setting. I would also love to travel to your home and share them
with you there if possible. Contact me at dougkoester@yahoo.com
for further information.
Thank you and may whatever path you choose be a path with heart.
