Jim Melick is CEO/President of two organizations. Institute of Spiritual Development and Alchemy, Inc. (ISDA), an organization dealing with all aspects of spiritual growth including spiritual education, spiritual healing, spiritual readings, workshops and retreats, and Basic Recovery Associates, Inc., an Outpatient Treatment and Education Care Center. Both organizations are located in Reno, Nevada.

My desire is to inspire integrity, truth, beauty, harmony, prosperity, peace and love to and from all creatures.

I believe that my diverse background and work with a variety of individuals from senators to individuals with alcohol and drug problems and the homeless has taught me a great deal about life, integrity, compassion and love, and it enables me to assist others in a positive way.

I am a Business Administration graduate with a major in Accounting, minor in Business Administration. I have an ICMA Certificate of Management Policies in Local Government Finance, performed graduate studies in Taxation, have had continuing education in Real Estate and as an ordained Minister.

I am a member of the Greater Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce, (1998 Graduate of the Reno-Sparks Leadership Program), Sparks Community Chamber of Commerce, WIN and American College of Addiction Treatment Administrators. A past member of the Municipal Finance Officers Association, National Corporate Cash Management Association and Board member of the RSIC Prevention Coalition. Previously licensed as a Real Estate Broker and General Contractor and served as past Vice President and President elect of the Douglas Country, Oregon board of Realitors, past President of the Northeast Sparks, (NV) Citizens Association, and Chairman of the Board/President/Treasurer/Secretary offices in Reno Sertoma.

I have worked in a variety of industries, including hospitals, aerospace, construction, real estate, services, manufacturing, not-for-profit organizations, and a municipality.
