What makes geometry "sacred?"
When the teachings of geometry are used to show the ancient truth that all life emerges from the same blueprint, we can clearly see that life springs from the same source … the intelligent, unconditionally loving creative force some call "God." When geometry is used to express and explore this great truth, a broader understanding of the universe unfolds until we can see that all aspects of reality become sacred. The ancients such as the Egyptians, Mayans, and others all knew this truth and incorporated sacred geometry teachings into their mystery schools as a way for anyone to begin to practically understand his or her personal relationship to "God" and the universe.

Why would I want to attend a Flower of Life Workshop?
The teachings of sacred geometry are available to everyone! They can be used to help one see the unity of all life and to connect more fully with the Universe. Sacred geometry can be used as a tool to assist with emotional and physical healing, and to gain greater peace of mind through its expressions of unity and love. Once these truths are understood by the mind (left brain) and experienced through the heart (right brain), a whole new world emerges. Understanding the simple truths of sacred geometry leads to an evolution of consciousness and an opening of the heart that is another step in the process of human evolution. The Flower of Life Workshop synthesizes the most profound aspects of sacred geometry teachings and incorporates them into an easy-to-understand presentation that leads to an amazing process of self-discovery that enables the individual to clearly feel his/her relationship to the universe.

Is the workshop just a presentation of sacred geometry, or are there experiential components as well?
In the Flower of Life workshop we introduce the Right Eye of Horus Mystery School Teachings (as presented originally by Drunvalo Melchizedek) and combine them with a powerful breath and meditation technique called the Merkaba Meditation. The combination of the sacred geometry teachings and the meditation create a doorway through which the student may travel beyond the limitations of time and space to the unified living field of which we are all a part -- the living energy of all creation. As students become more adept in this practice, their lives change profoundly as their eye open to the unlimited potential of the human spirit.

Many people teach about the Merkaba. What makes this one different from all the others?
There are many teachers around the world who offer merkaba meditation techniques similar to the one originally taught by Drunvalo Melchizedek. It is important that you participate in the teaching to which you are most attracted. Drunvalo's information was given to him from 1972 through the 1980s by Thoth, best known as the Egyptian deity of inner wisdom pertaining to science, mathematics, and literature. Since the 1980s, Drunvalo has been presenting his Flower of Life Workshops (either personally or through his trained facilitators). His work has been spread to at least 40 countries, is taught in many languages (such as Spanish, Dutch, German, French, Japanese), and has deeply touched thousands of people around the globe. Though some teachers wish to shorten the merkaba breath meditation or change its content, Flower of Life has chosen to teach the material as originally and exactly given to Drunvalo by the angels. We do not comment on the work of others, because we are more interested in maintaining the quality and integrity of our own teachings instead. We do encourage prospective students to take whichever class they feel is right for them.

Why are some of your workshop 6-7 days long and others only 2-3 days long? Are there different workshop formats? Flower of Life Workshops are offered in several different formats, depending upon the facilitator and the country in which it is being offered. Here is a brief summary of each of the formats offered:

Original 6-Day Format: This format is offered sometimes in the USA, Canada, and Australia, but primarily in Europe. It consists of approximately 35 hours of video (based on the work of Drunvalo Melchizedek) and live facilitation by an authorized Flower of Life Workshop Facilitator.

Flower of Life 2000+ Format: This new format debuted in June 1999 and is offered only by facilitators specifically trained to teach the 2000+ format. This Flower of Life for the New Millennium format synthesizes the most important FOL material and presents it in a streamlined package that can be taught anywhere around the world and in any language. This format has no prerequisite requirements

Original 3-Day Format: This format is offered primarily in the USA, Canada, and Australia. The prerequisite for this format is that the participant must watch 28 hours of video based on the Flower of Life Basic Course. The FOL office has these videos for sale and they are called the General Public (or GP) Videos. After the participant has viewed the videos, they may then take the 3-day workshop in which the teachings of the merkaba meditation are given live. (These teachings are not on video).

Pricing: Though Flower of Life gives our facilitators a general guideline for workshop pricing, each facilitator will price their workshops differently depending upon the added extras such as food or lodging. You will have to contact the coordinator or facilitator for the exact price of the workshop. The workshops are all of average price for similar workshops of the same length.

Why doesn't Drunvalo teach the workshop personally any longer?
The popularity of this workshop became so immense that Drunvalo was no longer able to fill the demand. He created the facilitator program so that trained instructors could teach this material anywhere around the world and in any language. Also, in his desire to be responsible for distributing such powerful information, he felt that trained facilitators would maintain the integrity of the teachings and be available for their students in a way that he could not.

Why should I take a workshop from a trained facilitator? Isn't there a video I can watch that can teach the merkaba? Why can't my friend teach the merkaba to me?
Drunvalo learned early on that the instructions for this meditation are most often misunderstood. He used to have the instructions on video but found that he was having to perform "rescue missions" at all hours of the day and night because people were not doing it correctly. After much soul-searching, he felt that he had to become responsible for the information by encouraging people to learn the method only from trained and certified facilitators. This would help everyone to learn it correctly. Even today he finds that the instructions can be misunderstood and so our facilitators are extra careful to be clear and make sure their students can perform the meditation correctly before they leave the workshop. Our facilitators are specifically trained to teach the merkaba, and their proficiency is tested. We do not recommend that anyone learn it from a friend who just went to a workshop because the friend hasn't been taught to teach it. There are complexities in the teaching of the meditation that make learning it with total accuracy from a untrained person extremely difficult.

I heard that there is a set of videos of a Flower of Life Workshop taught by Drunvalo in 1992. Are these for purchase or how can I view this material?
The 1992 Flower of Life workshop videos are now available for sale to the public and can be purchased from Flower of Life or our authorized facilitators directly. These videos are called the "GP Videos " (General Public Videos). Please note that this set of videos not contain the instructions for the merkaba meditation for the reasons listed above. What is Drunvalo doing now? What is his relationship with Flower of Life?
In 1997, Drunvalo gave the reigns of the Flower of Life Research organization to Ron Holt in order to pursue other interests. Drunvalo's organization, All Life LLC, and Flower of Life Research are separate entities. While Flower of Life handles all of the Flower of Life workshops around the world, all of Drunvalo's personal appearances are now handled through All Life LLC. . Drunvalo also has his own web page that can be found at www.drunvalo.net. His complete schedule of events can be found there, as well as news items and updates on his current projects.

In spring of 1999 Drunvalo completed his first book called The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life, Volume I. This book is available in our Retail Store . As of this writing, Volume II is not yet released. We do not anticipate its release until the end of 1999 or 2000.

Currently, Drunvalo is teaching workshops around the world and a very special seminar called Earth Sky Workshop. This workshop is only for Flower of Life graduates because it takes the teachings of the merkaba to the next level. Please note that if you wish to take the Earth Sky Workshop you must be a Flower of Life graduate from one of our certified facilitators.

Why do I need to take a workshop when I can just watch the tapes or get the information elsewhere?
There is a great deal of valuable information contained within the videos and they are definitely recommended for anyone to view. It is Drunvalo's feeling, however, that the experiential aspects, interaction with the group and, primarily, the ability to open the heart center and bring oneself into a state of Universal Love are by far the most important aspects of this work. The material in the videos balanced with the experiential aspects were meant to be presented together so that the student gains a complete understanding. Many attendees have reported the workshop to be a life-changing experience and an initiation to a new understanding of who they are. The instructions for the MerKaBa meditation can now be found in several publications, however, these instructions are merely mechanical steps and do not provide an understanding for the intention of the meditation and its purpose. As is the case with most intensive forms of meditation, it is the individual's ability to bring his or herself into a state of Universal Love and to apply a clear and focused intention that determines the manifestation of the work. Our experience has been that MOST people that have learned the MerKaBa strictly from written information are not only missing this understanding, but are also often misinterpreting the mechanical instructions themselves. As mentioned above, this was one of Drunvalo's primary reasons for the development of the Facilitator Program.

Why should I have to pay for a spiritual workshop? Spiritual information should be free to all.
Spiritual information is indeed already free to all, for those who wish to take the time (perhaps years of meditation) to develop themselves and find these answers for themselves. If one wishes to receive information that was gathered and compiled by others who have put their hard work and resources into it, there is often an energy exchange. The information presented within these workshops is indeed ancient and shared by many that have attended the classes. It does, however, entail considerable expense for the facilitator who presents a workshop, such as space rental, travel costs, workshop supplies, technical equipment, handouts, mail correspondence, phone costs, advertising, etc. In addition, a small percentage of these fees is paid to the Flower of Life organization, which supports the main office and its staff in coordinating the International Facilitator Program and keeping the workshop curriculum up to date. If a student is not willing to exchange energy with the facilitator and the organization that works hard to present this information, then we suggest the seeker find another means to gather this information that is more compatible with his or her own belief system.

Are any discounts available?
In fairness to all participants we can only offer discounts to full-time students (with ID), seniors on a fixed income, and children 12 and under with the approval and arrangement of the facilitator. There is also a discount available for those willing to perform a documented community service in exchange for the tuition. (This must be negotiated with the facilitator). There is also the option of coordinating a workshop in exchange for all or part of the workshop fee, according to the individual arrangement made between a facilitator and coordinator. If you wish to coordinate a workshop in your area, please contact the facilitator of your choice and work out the details.

If I already practice another form of meditation, will practicing the Merkaba meditation be a conflict?
No. In fact, by activating your Merkaba field before going on to other types of meditation can actually enhance the effects of them.

Once my MerKaBa field is fully activated, will I really notice a difference?
The activation of one's field is experienced differently by each person. Most commonly, people notice that their life seems to speed up as a result of activation of their field. Synchronicity also seems to occur with amazing frequency. It is also quite common for people to want to change their way of life so that it incorporates their new knowledge with greater purpose. It is also important to understand that this is an organic living field and it will evolve with you over time as will your interaction with it.

I'm not familiar with Sacred Geometry. Do I have to have a mathematical background for this?
Absolutely not! Sacred Geometry is the study of proportional relationships that underlie the structure of all things. Flower of Life utilizes the teachings of Sacred Geometry to show that there is an undeniable oneness within the creation of all things. This understanding is a very important part of the workshop. The intellectual mind needs to be convinced of this unity so that one can accept that the perception of separateness is just an illusion. During the workshop you will not be required to do any sort of mathematical calculations or technical geometry work. This understanding can be gained simply from Drunvalo's lecture material.

How should I decide which workshop to attend?
It has been our experience that each Flower of Life Workshop is very different in itself! This is attributed to the specific interests, understandings, and unique talents of not only the facilitator, but also the attendees themselves. It is highly recommended that you contact a few facilitators and converse with them before you make this decision. As with any important decision, we encourage you to trust your inner guidance as to whose workshop you should attend.

How do I sign up for a workshop?
Once you have chosen the workshop you wish to attend from our list of USA and International workshops, please contact the facilitator and/or coordinator directly. The Flower of Life office is only a national administrative office and we do not handle workshop registrations. The facilitator or coordinator will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
